RULES

This game is usually played 4 handed ; either in teams of 2 or individually. When played 3 handed, we just remove the russian and british face cards. So, you only have 30 cards to play with, 10 per players.

One player starts dealing the cards, one by one, starting with the player on his left and so-on until he has no cards left. The player to the left of the dealer is the first to make a bid of  the possible points he can win during the round. If the next player wants to make a higher bid, he can do it and so-on until it gets back to the dealer. The player who has the highest bid is the first to act. The first card he plays will represent the special color for the round.

Each player left of the dealer must play 1 card of the same color of those on the table, clockwise. If a player doesn’t have a card of the color requested, he can either play a special card to win the point or discard a random card.

The highest card win the point. However, if someone plays a special card, it still wins the point, even if its lower than the other cards on the table. Each hand won gives one point to the player.

The JOFFRE face card worth 5 extra points to the player that gets it in a winning hand and the KAISER face card worth -3 points. In other words, if a player gets the KAISER and the JOFFRE, it gives 1 point for the hand, plus 5 extra points, -3 points which means 3 points total.

If a player bids 8 points and he only managed to do 7 points during the round, he loses 8 points in the scoring board.

You need 40 points to win the game.
